Since ancient times the color blue has been precious. In art, blue was reserved for coloring the garments of the most important religious figures. Its source was Lapis Lazuli which was mined in the remote mountains of Afghanistan. Through the Renaissance, paintings were priced with a surcharge for blue. Locusta, is latin for lobster.

The blue lobster is rare and appears in about every 2 million catches. The Lapis Locusta team realizes how precious and rare our oceans are.
